PM Modi today inaugurated Kisan Kendras in National Capital Delhi. During that time many schemes related to farmers were started. Along with this, the 12th installment was also deposited in the farmers’ accounts.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi 2022:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today give a Diwali gift to the farmers of the country. On 17 October 2022, PM Modi inaugurated the PM Kisan Samman Kendras in Delhi. PM Modi inaugurated PM Kisan Samriddhi Kendras during this period. During this time he started many schemes related to farmers. 13 lakh farmers will join these programs under this scheme. Apart from this today PM also launched the Indian Mass Fertilizer Project – One Nation One Fertilizer, Agriculture Startup Conclave and Exhibition. Farmers across the country will benefit from these central government schemes. Along with this, PM today transferred 2000 rupees to 8 crore farmers as the 12th installment of PM Kisan Yojana.

On this occasion, PM Modi addressed the farmers. PM Modi said that with the help of technology, farmers can sit at home and sell their produce in any market in the country, this is also happening through e-name.

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi is also an example of how small farmers can benefit from the use of modern technology. Since the inception of this scheme, more than 2 lakh crore rupees have been transferred directly to the bank accounts of farmers.

Let us inform you that Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is effective from December 1, 2018. The last date for identification of beneficiaries in terms of eligibility was February 1, 2019. Identification of beneficiaries is the sole responsibility of the State/UT Governments. A special web-portal www.pmkisan.gov.in has been launched for this scheme.
Financial benefits are declared to the beneficiaries based on the data prepared and uploaded by them on the PM-Kisan web-portal.

Under this scheme, initially income support is provided to all small and marginal farmer families having up to 2 hectares of cultivable land across the country. Later from June 1, 2019, its scope was expanded to include all agricultural farming families in the country. Influential professional farmers like doctors, engineers, advocates, chartered accountants and pensioners (except MTS/Class IV/Group D employees) per month minimum Rs. 10,000 income tax payers were excluded from the scheme.

Special provisions have been made for the northeastern states, where land ownership rights are community-based, forest dwellers, and Jharkhand, which do not have up-to-date land records and have restrictions on land transfer. For registration, the farmer has to approach the local Patwari / Revenue Officer / Nodal Officer (PM-Kisan) nominated by the State Government. Farmers can also register themselves through the Farmers Corner in the portal. Farmers can update their names in the PM-Kisan database as per their Aadhaar database card through Farmers Corner in the portal. Farmers can also check their payment status through Farmers Corner in the portal. Village wise details of beneficiaries are also available at Farmers Corner.

The Common Service Center (CSC) has also been authorized to register farmers for the scheme on payment of a fee. The above facilities provided at Farmers Corner are also available through CSC. Based on Agriculture Census 2015-16, 14 crore farmers are benefited under this scheme.
