Daughter Deepika to make a movie about the life of father Prakash Padukone
Deepika Padukone will be filming the life of her father Prakash Padukone. Deepika’s father Prakash Padukone is a former badminton player from India. Prakash Padukone was the first Indian to win the All England Open Badminton Championship. In 1980, Prakash Padukone was ranked No. 1 in the world badminton rankings.
He was awarded the Arjuna Award in 1972 and the Padma Shri Award by the Government of India in 1982. He is one of the co-founders of Olympic Gold Quest, a foundation dedicated to the promotion of Olympic sports in India.
In reference to the father, daughter Deepika says, “My God has fought many battles in her life. The goddess was practicing badminton in a wedding hall. It was a badminton court for the gods. He actually used his disadvantages as his own advantage. If my god had seen the facilities available to the players now, he would have been able to go a long way. Before India won the Cricket World Cup in 1983, my god was one of the first Indian players to place Indian sports on the world map. He won the 1971 World Championships. “
It is worth mentioning that Deepika Padukone was last seen in the movie Gehraiya. The audience was disappointed with the movie. The actress co-produced and starred in the sports movie ’83’ in which her husband Ranbir Singh played the lead role. Apart from this, Deepika is all set to star opposite Prabhas in a science fiction film titled ‘Project K’ by filmmaker Nag Ashwin.
He will also be seen in the Hindi remake of the Hollywood movie ‘The Intern’ with Amitabh Bachchan. Rishi Kapoor was initially proposed for the movie but after his death Amitabh Bachchan was taken in his place. Deepika Padukone will also star in Siddharth Anand’s action film Fighter with Hrithik Roshan and in the Mahabharata she will play the role of Draupadi.
